Do I need experience with hypnosis?

No. You do not need to have tried hypnosis before, and you do not need to be “good” at relaxing.

Hypnosis is not about losing control. It is a deeply relaxed state where your mind can become quieter, calmer and more open to positive change. You remain aware and in control throughout.
