The key is first of all is to give you some quick fixes to enable you to take back your control and become super aware of the triggers and emotions underlying your behaviour, and believe me you are unique and authentic and you will experience things very differently to the next person. Did you know that we all only have one pot of energy a day and when we spend most the day feeling anxious it can be absolutely exhausting, so we focus our attention on using tools and techniques to calm our system down at first, to enable you to teach your body how to relax and stop the patterns of thoughts and feelings that have been created. This will allow you to gain a bit more energy and make friends with your unconscious mind, to acknowledge and understand what’s going on for you.
After all you didn’t wake up one day and all of a sudden you were anxious. You either learned it or it was a protective behaviour, either way it didn’t happen overnight. So realistically we are not going to get rid of it overnight. Its small changes along that way that create the big lasting change. It’s all about enjoying the journey along the way and looking back and feeling so proud of yourself when you suddenly realise that I don’t do that thing that I used to do.

So first thing is to enable you to understand the brain and how it works in a really super simple way, then teach your brain and your body to relax, really relax to begin to release the anxiety. I want you to experience a deep relaxation so you can know just what it feels like to start letting go of your anxiety. There’s something that happens when we go into a very relaxed state and when you go into hypnosis your body actually changes the chemical state that it’s in, and it changes the responses to certain triggers and environmental things to internal fears and worries that you have.
So you’re not just going to learn how to relax your body. We are then going to find the internal conflicts, anything unresolved, fears and worries that are in your subconscious mind. The situations that at the moment you maybe feel you are helpless or hopeless in, you may feel that you don’t have any control over, so you can find out the part of you that is struggling with the anxiety and behaviours and release it so it is gone for good.
Hypnotherapy can totally change the way the brain works. After all we all have issues, however we don’t know what we don’t know. Often we have no clue how to resolve our emotional issues. It is because we just don’t have the tools.

  • Firstly, one of the most powerful techniques against anxiety is deep breathing. Picture yourself inhaling positivity and exhaling all your worries and stress. By taking slow, deep breaths, you activate your body’s relaxation response, signalling to your brain that it’s time to calm down. Embrace the serenity that arises from each breath and feel the anxiety gradually melting away, leaving behind a tranquil and composed state of mind.
  • Secondly, physical activity is a fabulous way to combat anxiety. Moving your body, and changing your state releases the tense energy within you, and let those endorphins flow. Whether it’s going for a brisk walk, jogging in the park, or trying out a dance class, exercise has positive effects on your mental well-being. Not only does it distract your mind from anxious thoughts, but it also enhances your overall mood. So, put on your trainers and get active one step at a time, just do it at your own pace.
  • Thirdly, Practise self-care. Pampering yourself and prioritizing your own needs may seem indulgent, but it is crucial for your mental health and overall fulfilment. Take a moment each day to engage in activities that bring you joy and peace, such as reading a book, meditating, or soaking in a relaxing bath, even just a moment of gratitude. Nurturing yourself allows you to recharge, if you think of yourself as a battery what drains the battery and what re charges the battery.
